We'll be back tomorrow, and we'll make sure to post updates from all the day's we've missed. It's been busy, excited, and lots of fun. Thanks for reading, and we'll get some new content up soon!

10 Day Tour! Day 4: Glendale, CA!

The beautiful LA Temple
Time is flying fast! We can’t believe that it’s day four already! We got to the bus at 8:30, and after a sad goodbye to our host families, we went on our way. We headed straight to the Los Angeles Temple to do a morning side in the new Visitors Center. Upon arriving, we met an old friend, Sister Brinkerhoff! She is serving currently in Los Angeles! It was a wonderful reunion with this former Young Ambassador. She even sang with us during our morning side.

We had a few hours to enjoy the temple grounds and to explore the new visitors center, and then we loaded back up to do some sight seeing! We drove to Hollywood, where we spent a few hours walking the streets of the rich and famous. A portion of the street was actually closed, due to the big ‘Oscars’ party the night before. We enjoyed seeing the stars on the walk of fame, and comparing our hands and feet against the stars’ that left their marks in front of the Chinese Theatre.

Ashley, Max, and Chris in Hollywood
After our time in Hollywood, we loaded up again and headed to Glendale, CA to have dinner and to do another Fireside. Dinner was delicious (as always; we are seriously spoiled on tour) and the fireside was another experience that will be remembered by all of us. We are grateful for the opportunity we had to share our fireside with the Young Single Adults that came tonight.

Another big day tomorrow! Look for more pictures and video!

10 Day Tour! Day 3: Lancaster, CA

What a wonderful Sunday we had in Lancaster, CA. We attended a combined church meeting of four Stakes worth of Young Single Adult branches. It was a pleasure to be with so many young members of the church on Sunday, especially being as far away from home as we are.

Two of our Young Ambassadors taught the lesson in a combined Priesthood and Relief Society meeting. We enjoyed a Sunday School lesson taught by a member of one of the YSA branches, and we had the wonderful opportunity to sing two songs in Sacrament Meeting. It was a wonderful meeting rivaled only by the delicious munch and mingle provided for us. We have never seen so many desserts on one table before.

This evening we were able to do a Fireside for the combined Stakes. It was truly a humbling and gracious experience. We were very excited to share our message with the members here, but it was the Spirit that they brought to our meeting that really made us feel so lucky to be here in Lancaster.

No pictures or video today, but stay tuned! Tomorrow we are off to Glendale, CA!
