Michele Ringer, Whitley Osborn, Oyoyo Bonner, and Kate Bailey are ready to go! |
Aboard our BRAND NEW bus! |
We stepped outside, and we saw a most beautiful sight: a brand new bus from "Le Bus" with our favorite driver, Coleen! She was our driver for 10-day and we just fell in love with her! The bus is brand new. We are the first group to use it. It has wood floors, power outlets, seat belts, and that 'brand-new' bus smell (pretty similar to 'brand-new' car). It honestly was one of the highlights of our day! At that point we took off to the chapel we would be eating at. We had an hour or so to change and freshen up, then we helped set-up and make a DELICIOUS meal (Chicken Salad Sandwiches!). We were lucky enough to eat with some of the local Young Single Adults!
Goofy Young Ambassadors with new friends! |
We had a wonderful time eating with and getting to know so many wonderful young people from the area. It was great to get to know them by name before we shared our Fireside with them. They were truly remarkable people, and their spirits touched us as we sang and spoke about our Savior. It's been a busy, fun first day! We can't wait for our second day tomorrow! It's a big one: two shows! Keep checking back!
Mama Haycock thanks you on behalf of all Mamas. You all look great! WELCOME to the SOUTH!!!!

ReplyDeleteLove, love, love it!
We got word late about the fireside so I'm sorry we weren't able to get more YSA out and well they sure missed out! It was AWESOME!! Who knew primary songs could sound soo good?!? :) Now I've been apart of honors choirs and bands before and have been in performances where we've played something so beautiful that it brings the audience to tears.. but it's completely different when you yourself are so touched by what you are performing, that it means so much to you, that it brings you to tears as your performance did last night. When that happens tho it becomes a very strong spiritual experience for both the audience and the performer. Each of you bore your testimony to us, not just through your voice, but with your eyes. You can be coached to smile with your eyes and you've been well coached, but you can't be taught to have your testimonies shine from your countenances as yours does. Thank you for you testimonies, born to us through your eyes and through the incredible gifts our Lord has blessed you with. Y'all rock. Thank you for coming to the east and good luck y'all! :) See ya tonight!!
